On September 15, 2016, BBC Destination Management was recognized as one of CityBusiness’ 2016 Best Places to Work honorees for its second year in a row in the small business category. Best Places to Work honors Louisiana’s top 50 employers, 35 large companies and 15 smaller ones on the basis of the various benefits that companies offer from healthcare and average salary to paid time off and employee recognition programs.

“We are thrilled and honored to be a part of CityBusiness’ 2016 Best Places to Work once again. BBC is a team of fierce creatives and dedicated staff who love to come to work every day”, said President and CEO, Bonnie B. Boyd, CMP, DMCP. “We work in an exciting industry that encourages our team to think outside the box and exercise our dynamic talents. By working together, with respect and integrity for clients and colleagues alike we have accomplished many great successes, not the least of which is promoting our beloved city to the world,” she said glowingly.

BBC takes great pride in its dynamic staff and believes that hiring raw talent is only part of the equation of success. BBC strives to maintain a positive work environment that reminds staff that they are both cared for and recognized for their hard work and overtime. “Taking care of our staff is a core value at BBC. When you take the time to acknowledge someone for their tremendous efforts, they genuinely go the extra mile and aim higher in their own roles. We see our staff as more than just a piece of the puzzle; we see them as the future of the corporate events planning industry. Therefore, our job is to help guide and mold them into these future leadership roles”, said Director of Sales, David Rome, CMP, DMCP.

The employees at BBC could not agree more! “As one the newest additions to BBC, I have experienced firsthand just how hard this team works to ensure that BBC’s standards of excellence are always met in every event that we design and produce. It is clear that our efforts do not go unnoticed by our clients which helps keep us motivated, even during some of our greatest challenges”, said Operations Manager, Christina Pohlmann, DMCP. Indeed, receiving this title for a second year in a row is not only an honor but a reflection of BBC’s corporate culture and team solidarity.
