#WhyWeLoveNola: Christina Pohlmann, Operations Mgr.

WWLN_CP2

While Christina Pohlmann, DMCP is the newest member of the BBC Team, she is not new to hospitality, event management, or the city of New Orleans by any means. Born and raised in New Orleans, Christina considers herself a foodie and music aficionado (as many locals do). Once she’s finished running your event operations, you can find her relaxing on a Sunday with her family, spending a day on the water fishing, or exploring her city on the St. Charles Streetcar. Her events run as smooth as the Jazz she adores and she loves New Orleans because “it is a way of life.”

Best New Orleans Memory: Accidentally getting into the VIP section of Jazz Fest to see Maroon 5

What is the perfect day in New Orleans? Wake up to the sunrise on a cool day and take a walk through the French Quarter – sample food and drink and window-shop along the way. Then take a seat by the river and watch the barges pass till dusk falls. Change attire and visit one of the fine dining restaurants in the Quarter for a nice meal and cocktails. Then finish the night off at Cats Meow for some Karaoke.

What is ONE THING that every visitor must do? Hear a live Jazz band!

Why do you love NOLA? I love everything about it. New Orleans is a culture—a way of life. You either have it in you or you don’t but regardless of that, everyone can embrace it and quickly learn to love it.
